shaped like a foot print. Each religion holds story to its origin.
Muslims' believe Adam stood there in expiation of his sin in the Garden of Eden.
Buddhists claim that it was the Buddha who left the mark during his visit to the island.
Hindus' believe the print to have been made by the God Shiva during the dance of creation.
Consequently annually between end December
and April many religious pilgrims will cover the walk to the summit. The
most spectacular sight is the shadow of the peak as the sun rises.
