Formally associated with the John Keells Group of Companies as Managing Director of Walkers Tours, Keells Hotels and Keells Transportation Ltd and SITA World Travels Lanka Ltd. He was the tourism consultant for Air Lanka (the then National Carrier) and was the first Chairman of the Air Lanka Tourism Advisory Committee. He was a member of the Presidential task force of Tourism and Past President of the Travel Agents Association of Sri Lanka.
